Angie Hughes also had a tremendous race, finishing in 24mins 44secs narrowly missing out on an overall prize, despite beating prize-winners on the day. Alex Dutton made her debut for the club finishing as third counter on the day running excellently throughout, while Allison Guillemin and Sue Calvert had their own personal duel, Guillemin coming out on top by one position on this occasion. Sonia Wignall and Lucy Jones again ran closely with only one runner separating them at the finish, while Julie Jones made a very welcome return to the cross-country scene completing a historic day for the ladies, seeing them become second division champions in only their third season in the league.
