Thirteen Abergele Harriers were among the 268 runners taking part in the final race of the Borders Road Running League held over a 4 mile course in Wrexham on the 22nd April. 

John Morris led the team home in 22m 15s for 11th overall. Ben Lightowler ran 22m 38s (19th) followed by Darren Blazier finishing in 23m 15s (29th) and Jodi Waters running 23m 29s (33rd). Rob Armstrong ran 25m 33s (86th) just ahead of James Salt running 26m 03s (98th) and Mark Mayers finishing in 26m 31s (117th). Darren Battersby ran 27m 25s (141st) with John Jones finishing in 28m 40s (167th) and Anthony Howe crossing the line in 31m 36s (231st) to rounding off another strong team performance by the men.

Amy Owen-Jones led the ladies home in 28m 50s for 170th overall with Rachel Shipley hot on her heels finishing in 28m 57s for 173rd. Chris Birch ran 29m 55s for 199th overall and first FV60.

Four harriers picked up category trophies for the season overall. Chris Birch produced her usual solid performances to win the FV60 category again. Darren Blazier was 4th V40 with Rachel Shipley, having a fantastic season, taking 4th in the Senior Women category. Jodi Waters was 9th in the very competitive Senior Men category.

The men finished in an excellent 4th position in the first division with the ladies finishing very well in 3rd position in Division 2.
