Eleven Abergele Harriers took part in the third race of the Borders Road Running League on Sunday.  318 competitors ran the 5.5 mile course at Birkenhead Park.

Richard Wilyman led the team home in 32:58 for 53^rd overall followed by Darren Blazier running 34:09 for 90^th position. James Salt ran 35:42 for 121^st closely followed by Gareth Evans crossing the line in 35:51 for 125^th. Mark Mayers finished in 38:37 for 191^st just ahead of John Jones running 38:42 for 193^rd. Danny Snelson ran 40:16 for 226^th with Anthony Howe finishing in 41:11 for 248^th. Rachel Shipley led the ladies home in 41:41 for 258^th position. Chris Birch ran 42:52 for 276^th overall with Paula Maguire finishing in 43:41 for 287^th. 

The men’s team were 5^th on the day in Division 2 but remain in 2^nd overall after 3 races, while the ladies were also 5^th on the day in Division 2 and remain 5^th overall.
