Twelve Harriers took part in the 5.2 mile penultimate Borders League Race at New Brighton on Sunday.

Ben Lightowler led the men home in 29m 55s for 19^th overall just ahead of Jodi Waters running 30m 19s for 22^nd position. Rich Wilyman ran 30m 54s (34^th) followed by Rob Armstrong finishing in 31m 38s (45^th) and Darren Blazier running 31m 52s (48^th). James Salt finished in 33m 13s (71^st) with Mark Mayers just 2 places back running 33m 22s (74^th). Grahame Shone completed another strong team performance with a run of 39m 38s (162^nd).

Rachel Shipley led the ladies home in 39m 23s for 158^th overall and 23^rd lady. Carol Willgoose, currently leading the FV55 category, ran 39m 44s for 1^st FV55 (165^th/26^th lady). Chris Birch won her age group to take the lead in the FV60 category, finishing in 40m 38s (177^th/33^rd lady). Deedee Plamperova crossed the line in 47m 43s (222^nd/58^th lady).
