Sunday 27th October was the fourth Borders League race of the season held at Tattenhall, staged by Chester Tri. Set amongst the wonderful Cheshire countryside, showing the ravages of the winter elements, the course is a strong incline along country lanes, before a three mile decent to the finish, covering overall 6.1 miles. This fixture has in the past been cancelled due to the elements, and this year the elements played there part on a dry course with exceptionally strong north westerly winds, made running trying in parts, together with gusts on most of the route and a strong head wind to the finish. Abergele Harriers has six men and four ladies, first home in 60th place was Darren Blazier 37:29; 166th Simon Bonfield 43:44; 215th James Salt 46:39; 218th Danny Snelson 46:45; 249th Grahame Shone 48:49; 254th Anthony Howe 49:18. In the ladies team Rachel Shipley 155th 43:02; 179th Emma Collins 44:23; 228th Paula Maguire 47:22; 289th Chris Birch 51:11. Darren thanked the team for turning up on a blustery day, but enjoyable running in the Cheshire countryside, just over 300 runners from across the region took part.
