Round 3 Borders League

A team of fourteen travelled to Tattenhall, and although slightly weakened, at the end of the day the Menís team were still third overall in the first division, and top of the Veterans League. Darren Blazier once again lead his team by example finishing in a superb time of 33mins 41secs for the approximately 10k course, securing fourth position overall, twenty seconds ahead of John Earlston, who was 6th on the day, to once again lead the MV45 category both on the day and overall. Tim Cahill ran an excellent 36mins 37secs for 30th position on the day, and rising to 3rd overall in the same age category. Ed Reid maintained his excellent recent form to finish in 38mins 56secs for a well deserved 60th overall, with Grahame Shone finishing in 73rd, his highest position this season, for 4th MV55 on the day, in a time of 39mins 34secs. Haydn Jones ran extremely well to finish in 41mins 57secs, while Carol Willgoose, again the only female Harrier to run the League this season, not far behind in 42mins 21secs, for 10th lady on the day and 2nd in the LV45 category. Keith Elliott was another Harrier producing his best position of the season, 126th in 43mins 44secs, while John Hickmanís 44mins 13secs, secured him 2nd V65 on the day and overall. Peter Smith ran an excellent 45mins 43secs for 136th, while Dave Edwards, making his first league appearance of the season finished in 46mins 57secs for 143rd.  Alan Lucasís 47mins 40secs made him 10th V60 on the day and overall, while Borders League ever-present John Essary finished in 48mins 28secs, for 155th, again his best finish of the season. The team was completed by an excellent run by Steve Ward, finishing in 58mins 44secs for 176th position on the day.
