A busy weekend for Abergele Harriers, Sunday 14^th was the start of the 2018-19 Border League Season at New Brighton, staged by Wirral AC, on a bright morning with light winds the 5 mile course ran along the longest promenade in the UK just over 2 miles before turning into country lanes, then back through Wallasey village, return to the promenade for a long sprint to the finish Abergele Harriers had a team of 7 men and 3 ladies, first home was Josh Dixon 6^th place 26:40; 116^th Darren Blazier 31:40; 143^rd Alan Ilsley 32:38; 168^th Darren Battersby 33.40; 184^th Mark Mayers 34.14; 247^th John Jones 36:35; 301^st Grahame Shone 38:56; in the ladies team Rachel Shipley 158^th 33.20; 202^nd Emma Collins 34.50; 313^th Chris Birch 39:30. Darren Blazier, Border League Captain thanked the team for a great turnout, especially with so many other events on that day.
