Ten men and three women took part in the third race of the Borders Road Running League held over a 10k course in Caernarfon on Sunday.

Richard Wilyman led the team home in an excellent 35m 46s for 11th overall followed by Darren Blazier finishing in 37m 06s (20th). Ben Lightowler crossed the line in 38m 03s (40th) just ahead of Pete Mould running a personal best of 38m 06s (41st). Rob Armstrong finished in 40m 09s (76th) with Mark Mayers running 41m 20s (97th) and James Salt 42m 09s (107th). John Jones and Warren Brown both ran personal bests finishing in 43m 01s (121st) and 44m 56s (143rd) respectively. Grahame Shone completed a strong men’s team performance finishing in 45m 53s for 162nd overall and 2nd MV65.

Rachel Shipley led the ladies home in a personal best of 44m 02s for 132nd overall and 20th lady. Chris Birch finished in 46m 45s for 179th overall, 34th lady and 1st FV65. Amy Owen-Jones put in a determined run despite being unwell to finish in 48m 10s for 192nd overall and 41st lady.
