Round 1; Colwyn Bay, 27/9/2003 .

 

Abergele Harriers brought a full male team to the first round of this seasons Majestic Travel North Wales Cross Country League in Colwyn Bay . Over the four lap course Simon Shiels had an excellent battle at the front eventually finishing in a very close second position. Sean Mc Cormack, running his first ever cross country race, was second Harrier home gaining an excellent 35th position overall. Next home, in a time of 34mins 34secs, in 52nd position was Ed Reid, with Grahame Shone 72nd in 35:38. Mike Nolan’s 124th (41:40) and Alan Lucas’ 136th (44:40) completed an excellent team result with an overall score of 421 and a “veterans” score of 159. The next round is in 2 weeks time in Telford and the club urges as many club members as possible to turn out.
