Abergele Harriers were hosts of the 4th Border League race of the 2019/20 season, after a week of very strong winds and rain, the bright clear sky was a welcome sight on the Pensarn to Llanddulas Cycle Track, despite the cool wind on the return leg runners back from Llanddulas to a grand finish in Pensarn, 381 runners took part in the race with Rob Samuel of Eryri. As hosts Abergele Harriers had the task of marshalling the route to ensure runners are safe along the 4.9 mile distance, the club is very grateful to all the club members and their families who helped today with some of the key club runners take part to make our team, Darren Blazier was the first club member to finish in 46th place and 29:32; 108th Alan Ilsley 32:36; 118th Tim Cahill 33.04; 119th Simon Bonfield 33.05; 153rd Gwil Lloyd-Jones; 156th James Yarwood 34:30; 167th Darren Battersby 34:53; 224th James Salt 34:47. In the ladies team 183rd Rachel Shipley 35:43; 227th Amy Owen-Jones 37:56; 274th Chris Birch 40:25.
