Abergele Harriers hosted the 4th race of this season’s Borders Road Running League. Seventeen Abergele Harriers were among the 334 runners competing over a fast 5 mile course along the cycle path from Pensarn.

Richard Wilyman led the club home in 28m 17s for 14th overall followed by Ben Lightowler running 28m 45s (20th) and John Morris finishing in 29m 13s (27th). Darren Blazier finished in 29m 56s (44th), Rob Armstrong in 32m 09s (92nd), Mark Mayers in 32m 32s (103rd), James Salt in 33m 49s (133rd) and Gareth Evans in 34m 00s (137th). Danny Williams, making his debut for the Harriers Borders League team, ran 34m 10s (140th) followed by John Jones finishing in 34m 33s (146th) and Anthony Howe in 34m 57s (157th). Nick Foden ran 35m 40s (174th) with Grahame Shone and Warren Brown crossing the line in 35m 57s (189th) and 36m 21s (200th) respectively to complete a strong team performance from the men.

 Amy Owen-Jones led the ladies team home in 35m 40s for 173rd overall followed by Rachel Shipley running 36m 15s (196th) and Chris Birch finishing in 37m 49s (238th).
