On Sunday 11th January, 14 Harriers were amongst the 320 runners who travelled to Birkenhead Park for the third fixture of the season in the Borders League.  The course consisted of four laps, a total distance of approximately 5.4 miles.

 

The first Harrier to finish in the Men's race was second claim member John Edward Morris, who finished in 16th place overall in a time of 31:29.  He was followed by Darren Blazier in a time of 33:19 for 43rd place, Jodi Waters in 33:41 (51st) , Richard Wilyman in 34:53 (62nd) and James Salt in 35:43 (86th).

 

Mark Mayers completed the course in a time of 36:37 (102nd), followed by Graeme Shone in 38:52 (136th), Darren Battersby in 39:03 (142nd), Rob Armstrong in 40:10 (152nd), Vinny Wickham in 41:53 (181st) and Anthony Howe who finished in 44:50 for 205th position.

 

In the Women's race, Chris Birch finished in a time of 40:53 for 33rd female and 1st in her age category. She  was joined by Amy Owen-Jones in 41:39 (40th Female and 9th in her age category)) and Rachel Shipley in 43:41 (54th and 11th senior female).
