On Sunday 9th October an Abergele Harriers team of thirteen men and two women travelled to Caernarfon to compete in first fixture in this seasons Borders League. 

 

First Harrier to complete the 10 km course was Ben Lightowler in 22nd place in a time of 36:45, closely followed by Nick Foden in 32nd place in a personal best time of 37:25, Richard Wilyman in 45th position in 37:58 and Jodi Waters in 47th  place in 38:02.

 

Darren Blazier was 83rd in a time of 40:17, James Salt was 102nd in 41:30, Pete Mould was 105th in 41:35 and Gareth Evans finished in 128th position in 42:54.

 

Mark Mayers was 150th in 43:55, Darren Battersby was 174th in 45:15, John Jones finished in 186th in a time of 45:57. Grahame Shone was 196th in 46:33 and Ben Garnett was 235th in a time of 48:41

 

The first women Harrier to finish was Chris Birch in 236th place overall and 49th lady in a time of 48:46. She was followed by Paula Maguire in 256th position overall and 56th lady in a time of 49:57.

 

The men’s team ended 3rd in Division 2, with the ladies 7th.
