Eleven Abergele Harriers joined over 275 runners to compete in the second round of the Grand Prix Express North Wales Cross Country League held at St David’s College, Llandudno on Saturday. The ladies ran 1 lap and the men 2 laps of a new 2.6 mile course.

 Jeni Richards led the ladies home in 22m 44s for 29th position. Chris Birch finished in 23m 22s for 41st overall and 1st LV60 with Rachel Shipley making her debut for the club completing the ladies team with a run of 29m 22s for 89th position. 

 Richie Lee led the men home in 35m 37s for 68th position. Mark Mayers ran 37m 35s for 94th with Rob Armstrong finishing in 38m 05s for 100th and Ed Reid crossing the line in 38m 30s for 108th. Paul Thomas sprinted to the line in 39m 53s for 124th just ahead of Dave Edwards running 40m 09s for 127th.

Tom Bancroft and Graham Arden, both racing for the Harriers for the first time, completed a strong men’s performance with runs of 44m 48s for 158th and 55m 38s for 166th respectively.
