Eleven Abergele Harriers took part in the 5^th round of the Borders League at Mold on Sunday. Over a hilly 5 mile course Darren Blazier led the men home in 28m 55s for 12^th position overall. Sean McCormack, taking a time out from his Ultra training, ran 31m 07s (41^st) with son Steven, also Ultra training at the moment, finishing in 32m 12s (63^rd). Mark Mayers took over 4 minutes off his time for the course last year finishing in 32m 24s for his best Border League result to date (69^th). Ed Reid ran 35m 30s (108^th); Peter Hardy crossed the line in 42m exactly (195^th) and John Essary finished in 43m 52s (112^th).

Jeni Richards led the ladies home in 35m 11s for 102^nd overall, 10^th lady and 1^st LV45, to consolidate her lead in the category overall, while Carol Willgoose ran 37m 23s for 145^th overall, 19^th lady and 1^st LV50, to put her 3^rd in the Category overall despite missing two races. Dominique Jones, making her Border League debut, ran 48m 27s (227^th overall 77^th lady) with Sonia Wignall completing the team by finishing in 49m 30s (230^th overall 79^th lady).
