Running clubs from across the region were out in force at Mold Borders League staged by Wrexham Triathlon Club on Sunday 8th April, this was the first borders race for well over a month as previous bad weather had played havoc with the competition, The Harriers had a strong team taking part with 11 men and 6 ladies, the course is just over 5 miles and is a steep climb to Nercwys then a sharp downhill back into Mold, with bright sunshine and near perfect conditions Ben Lightowler was 1st home for the men’s team in 34th place 29.22; 45th Jodi Waters 29.56; 51st Simeon Fawcett 30.30; 73rd Darren Blazier 31.17; 84th Craig Jones 31.42; 130th Simon Bonfield 34.07; 176th Darren Battersby 36.26; 185th John Jones 36.45; 212th Mark Mayers 37.38; 216th Danny Snelson 37.45; 251st Mike Powell 39.53. First home for the ladies in 171st place was Rachel Shipley 36.00; 198th Emma Collins 37.09; 205th Amy Owen-Jones 37.23; 253rd Chris Birch 39.59; 302nd Hilary Powell 43.54; 307th Lorraine Nesbitt 44.35, this was a great result for the club and Darren Blazier was please with the overall performance. Abergele Harriers also had Sean McCormack assisting as Race Adjudicator.
