Saturday, 3rd February, saw the climax to the 2017-18 season for Cross Country which has seen all the elements from Snow, Ice, Wind, Water, and above all Mud, thrown at the valiant runners from across the counties of North Wales and the Borders. Abergele Harriers had three runners at the Marches School in Oswestry with the ground very soft from the earlier in the day events the adults had a tough run, Chris Birch was our V70 winner 64th overall in a time of 31:47 and received a plaque for winning all V70 races this season. Tim Cahill had a great run in the men’s race to finish 68th overall in 46:21 and 3rd in the V55’s on the day and 2nd for the season. Anthony Howe ran an excellent race especially after competing in Parkrun in Telford that morning he finished in 132nd place.

The men's team finished the season in a very creditable 6th position overall in Division 2, while the woman's team ended up 10th in Division 2.
