Round 5 Borders League

 Eleven Harriers took part in the 5^th round of the Borders League held at Mold over a 5.2mile course. In a field of 217 runners Keith Elliot led the team home in a very impressive 32mins 38secs for 62^nd position overall. Keith was followed by another fantastic performance from Hayden Jones in 35mins 5seconds (92^nd) leading home a tri of runners finishing less than one minute apart. Next home was Grahame Shone in 35mins 27secs (97^th) and Ed Reid in 35mins 53secs (103^rd). Mark Mayers continued his recent fantastic form finishing in 36mins 42secs (118^th) closely followed by Jeni Richards in 36mins 46secs (132^nd) and Carol Wilgoose in 37mins (136^th) while Paul Thomas was less than a minute further back in 37mins 43secs (127^th). An excellent run by Sian Hall in 41mins 23secs (177^th) rewarded her with her best position in the league to date and secured a fabulous ladies team result. The men completed their team with strong performances from John Essary in 43mins 41secs (142^nd) and Alan Lucas in 44mins 51secs (200^th). The race leaves  Carol Willgoose leading the FV50 category, Jeni Richards in 2^nd position at FV45, Sian Hall 3^rd in the FV35 category and the ladies team at the top of the second division, and the ladies improvers League.
