Another week another storm; this week Storm Brian hit North Wales but this was not going to stop local running club’s attend the 2nd Cross Country league race of the season at St. David’s College, Llandudno. The rain and wind lashed down on the runners with the ladies race was taking place first with one large lap and one small one. Overall placing were Amy Owen-Jones 55th 30.02 (who has just been selected for the North Wales Development Team to run in the Abergele 5 Mile race on November 5th), Chris Birch 65th 30:45; Lorraine Nesbitt 101 35:49; Sarah Edwards 114th 43:26. The ladies were 12th in division 2 on the day but remain 15th in the second division after 2 races. The men ran one small lap followed by 2 large laps (approx 5.9 miles). First home was James Salt in 63rd in 42:02; followed by Sean McCormack 72nd 43.01; Robert Armstrong 107th 46:19: Simon Bonfield 103rd 50:17; Anthony Howe 142nd 51:52; Haydn Jones 150th 54:46. The men were 8th in division 2 on the day and remain 8th overall in Division 2 after 2 races and 10th overall in the Men's Veterans league.
