Thirteen Abergele Harriers took part in the Border League road race at Deeside on Sunday.

Over a 4.5 mile course Richard Wilyman led the Harriers home in 27m 05s for 49th position. 

Mark Mayers continued his good form running 28m 22s for 77th position. Despite injury Darren Blazier finished in 29m 08s for 88th position.

Haydn Jones ran 31m 09s for 116th, Dave Edwards finished in 31m 27s for 124th and Anthony Howe crossed the line in 31m 55s for 136th.

Peter Hardy ran 37m exactly for 193rd just ahead of John Essary finishing in 37m 19s for 194th.

Alan Lucas completed the men’s team with a run of 51m 51s for 219th overall.

 Jeni Richards led the ladies home in 30m 34s for 108th overall, 8th lady and 1st FV45.

Carol Willgoose ran 33m 07s for 158th overall, 23rd lady and 1st FV50.

Chris Birch, out injured in the last round, finished in 34m 31s for 173rd overall, 31st lady and 1st FV60.

Delyth Evans ran 36m 14s for 190th overall and 42nd lady.
