Twelve Harriers, including 4 who had run cross country the previous day, were in Caernarfon on Sunday to compete over a 10k course in the opening race of this season’s Borders Road Running League.

Club Captain Darren Blazier was first harrier home in 36m 22s for 13th overall. Richard Wilyman ran 38m 31s for 43rd followed by Rob Armstrong finishing in 39m 16s for 53rd and Mark Mayers running 43m 16s for 116th. Andy Simpson crossed the line in 46m 35s for 173rd just ahead of Anthony Howe running 46m 50s for 180th and Grahame Shone finishing in 47m 36s for 190th. Peter Hardy, John Essary and Graham Arden completed the men’s line up finishing in 55m 10s (243rd), 57m 32s (254th) and 59m 27s (259th) respectively.

Chris Birch ran 47m 05s for 183rd overall and 1st FV 65 followed by Rachel Shipley finishing in 54m 11s for 238th.
